Cleanups planned for Coastweeks

Science students at Clay high school will soon have a way to measure the wind and how much power it can produce. This grant-funded project will provide data on how well turbines produce power in the changeable wind environment near the lake.

Where does all the water in the Great Lakes come from?

The Great Lakes were formed by the melted water from glaciers, with the last glacier retreating almost 11,000 years ago. Today, snowmelt still supplies the Great Lakes with much of its water.
