RE: Cayenne pepper sludge
I bought a product at the local hardware store called "SHOT-GUN Hot Pepper
Wax Animal Repellent" intended to prevent rabbits, deer, squirrels, and
other critters from the eating the plants, wood posts, etc. It contains
Capsaicin-the hot pepper source-, wax, and appears to be mostly water-based.
It dries to a waxy film and seems to work. So far the deer and rabbits
haven't developed a taste for spicy foods. It is manufactured by Bonide
Products Inc, 2 Wurtz Avenue, Yorkville, NY 13495. Maybe this company could
use this in their products or suggest who could.

Subject: Cayenne pepper sludge
The request is from a company that uses cayenne pepper in the manufacturing
of
sore muscle rubs. Olive oil and the cayenne pepper are mixed together for a
time - then after the pepper infuses the oil the olive oil is strained out.
This leaves a cayenne pepper sludge as a by-product. Any ideas for use of
this
by-product to avoid disposal?
