A new regional Internet site aimed at promoting energy efficiency initiatives on both sides of the border is now available.
www.borderenergy.org
The site was developed in partnership with the Western Governors' Association, the border states and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. It premiered at the US-Mexico Border Energy Forum VIIII last month in Tucson.
The site provides a centralized marketplace, a step-by-step efficiency improvement process, a knowledge base for business practices and energy choices, as well as case studies and sample audits of facilities in the border area.
(Also, plans are now being made for Border Energy Forum IX next fall in Saltillo - for more information on this annual conference and a look at some of the reports from Tucson, go to http://www.glo.state.tx.us/border/forum/8/report.html
