At a Congressional hearing, witnesses spoke about how the Bush 
administration had delayed, altered or watered down the findings of 
government scientists on the issue of global warming and other 
environmental studies.

This problem may get worse until there is public pressure to stop it.  It 
seems to be driven by big money interests.
