Enviro-Mich message from James Clift <jamesmec@voyager.net>

I am glad to hear the Bush Administration is promising to follow through
with its promised funding for contaminated sediment cleanup. My
question is whether they are going to stop the practice of taking
chemically tainted sediments and dumping them back in the lake -- as
they do in Lake Erie and are proposing to do in Lake Michigan. If the
Bush Administration is serious about protecting the Great Lakes its time
to order the Army Corp of Engineers to end the practice of open dumping
of contaminated sediments.
