Aquatic Invasive Species Workshop: Proposed Projects to Advance Management of Organisms in Trade
Ypsilanti, Mich.
The Great Lakes Commission, working with an advisory team of experts from government, businesses and conservation groups, is using a pathway-based approach to identify and address high risk activities contributing to aquatic invasive species (AIS) introduction and spread. This is the second in a series of workshops conducted to inform our project work on the trade of live organisms.

Great Lakes Sturgeon Coordination Meeting

This meeting will provide a venue for what has become a regular gathering of over 100 people to discuss, learn about, and share ideas regarding Lake Sturgeon in the Great Lakes basin. A mixture of oral presentations, breakout group discussions, extended question/answer periods, guided discussions, and an evening social and poster session will allow participants to interact, contribute, and learn about recent developments with sturgeon in our region.

Michigan Boating Industries Association Clean Marina Workshop
Bay City, Michigan
A workshop for marina operators interested in earning a Clean Marina designation from the state of Michigan will be 1-4 p.m. Dec. 5, at the Doubletree Hotel Riverfront in Bay City. The workshop will show marina owners how to avoid problems that could cause fuel and other chemicals used in boats to cause water pollution.
